Finance Operations Manager

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join the expanding Corporate Finance Team, in which the successful candidate will oversee and manage the financial operations of Corporate Finance, ensuring efficient processes, accurate reporting and compliance with financial policies and regulations. This role involves managing the day-to-day financial activities and implementing strategies to improve financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily financial operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable, daily banking and accounts receivable.

Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are prepared and reviewed, ensuring their accuracy and timeliness.

Ensure the month end timetable is adhered to and that reporting is accurate.

Prepare the trial balance for Group on a quarterly basis, ensuring it is accurately mapped to the Group Chart of Accounts and that the process for eliminating intercompany is automated.

Prepare the statutory accounts accurately and on time.

Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency.

Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements, including tax filings, regulatory returns, and audits.

Develop, regularly review, and share KPIs specific to the performance of the Corporate Finance Team.

Evaluate and optimise financial systems and processes to enhance operational effectiveness.

Deliver Standard Reporting on time and accurately and ensure reports are automated.

Lead the annual audit for all entities.

Experience & Skills

Qualified accountant or qualified by experience

Line management experience.

Detailed understanding of how systems can leverage efficiencies within a finance team.

Experience of delivering management accounts and financial statements.

Team management experience

A keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills.

Able to prioritise and plan to meet deadlines, even when they conflict.

A team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently.

Excellent MS Excel/Word/Outlook skills.
